Job Summary

California Correctional Health Care Services is seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Technician to join our team. As a Psychiatric Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide basic level of general nursing and behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to patients under valid authorization by a provider's order and the delegation and clinical direction of the Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Support the care team for daily health care operations and communicate effectively with patients and other members of the health care team.
  • Address the ongoing needs of patients, work with the members of the larger health care team, and promote the efficient, appropriate, and cost-effective use of health care resources.
Requirements
  • Possession of a valid license to practice as a Psychiatric Technician issued by the BVNPTE.
Working Conditions
  • Travel is required.
Special Requirements
  • The position(s) require(s) a Drug Screening be passed prior to being hired.
  • The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired.
