Job Summary:

As a Steam Fitter at ENGIE, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing system components for steam, condensate, chilled water, natural gas, heating hot water, and associated components. This includes operating system valves for facility repairs and distribution, reading and preparing sketches, and troubleshooting systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, repair, and install system components for steam, condensate, chilled water, natural gas, heating hot water, and associated components.
  • Operate system valves for facility repairs and distribution.
  • Read and prepare sketches.
  • Troubleshoot systems, including steam and condensate, chilled water, and natural gas meter settings.
  • Install and repair expansion joints, valves, gaskets, steam traps, pumps, and other mechanical items found in utility distribution systems and plants.
  • Read drawings, complete layouts, cut/join, and fit pipe tubing.
  • Inspect new installations and coordinate work with contractors and the ENGIE Capital Projects Team.
  • Perform routine inspections of University utility tunnels and vaults.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work 10-hour shifts (6AM-4:30PM) and follow on-call schedule.
  • Willingness to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies.
