Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled NEB Specialist to join our team at the City of Amarillo. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nutrition, exercise, and breastfeeding, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide routine nutrition and exercise counseling to clients, as well as breastfeeding education and support.
  • Prepare and process program documentation in the areas of nutrition, exercise, and breastfeeding.
  • Conduct clinical testing, measuring, and analysis, and assist with general clinic operations.
  • Develop courses and presentations in nutrition, exercise, and breastfeeding to address targeted goals.
  • Communicate effectively with administration, medical personnel, WIC participants, and community partners.

Requirements
  • College degree or certifications in nutrition, exercise, or breastfeeding.
  • Work experience in the area of expertise.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish desirable.

Work Environment
The NEB Specialist will work in a fast-paced clinic environment, interacting with clients, staff, and community partners. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
