About WakeMed:
Position Information:
The Cardiac Sonographer at WakeMed performs echocardiograms to visualize and record quality images of the cardiovascular system. This role requires proficiency in the use of ultrasound equipment and adherence to established guidelines and departmental policies.
Experience Requirements:
1 year of clinical experience in ultrasound is preferred. A graduate degree in Cardiac Ultrasound or an Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Sonography is required.
Certification Requirements:
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, or Certified/Licensed/Registered in the field of practice is required. Basic Life Support certification is also required.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. No weekend call requirements.
