We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Screener to join our team at Meridian Behavioral Healthcare. As a Clinical Screener, you will play a critical role in assessing clients' needs and determining the most appropriate course of treatment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments of clients through telephone and face-to-face contact to determine treatment needs.
- Determine the most suitable service provider based on clinical, demographic, and payer requirements.
- Serve as a client advocate, consultant, and liaison with various community agencies to ensure continuity of care.
- Facilitate continuity of services within the agency and community for clients seen in Emergency Screening.
- Document all services provided in a timely and accurate manner, consistent with Center guidelines and procedures, and best practice standards for the profession.
- Perform other duties as required to meet program and departmental goals and objectives.
- Master's degree required from an accredited university with major coursework in psychology, sociology, social work, or a related human services field.
- One year of proven experience working with clients in the mental health field.
- Ability to type at least 27 wpm on prescreen assessment and score at least 65% on general assessment.
