Position Summary:
The Equipment Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, diagnostics, and repairs of compact construction machinery. This role requires a strong commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and failures.
- Disassemble and reassemble machinery components according to manufacturer specifications using various tools.
- Rebuild, repair, and maintain equipment and its components.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with management regarding customer needs.
- Manage repair job costs and complete parts orders as necessary.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and ensure all equipment is in good condition.
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Work overtime as required to meet workload demands.
- Engage in continuous learning and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience in equipment maintenance.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; completion of a diesel technology program is a plus.
- Possession of all necessary mechanic hand and pneumatic tools.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent movement and use of limbs; good manual dexterity and coordination are essential.
- Capability to work in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings.
Work Environment:
- Regular exposure to mechanical parts and potential hazards.
- May require working in varying weather conditions.
- Noise levels may be high at times.
