Job Overview

The Quality Assurance Technician plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity of production processes by conducting thorough quality inspections across various production lines. This position is crucial for adhering to quality assurance protocols and ensuring that the final products meet established standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform quality inspections on production lines under general supervision.
  • Utilize basic math and computer skills for documentation and reporting.
  • Identify foreign materials and defects during almond sorting processes.
  • Complete sample documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Count and verify foreign materials for Statistical Process Control (SPC) charting.
  • Gain knowledge of almond varieties, quality metrics, and defect identification.
  • Assist as a line sorter when necessary.
  • Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
  • Work overtime as required by production demands.
  • Understand and apply HACCP processes, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and safety protocols.
  • Be flexible to work any assigned shift.
  • Knowledge of USDA sampling is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Compensation is based on experience.
