IT Server Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Server Engineer to join our team at SMS InfoComm Corporation. As a Server Engineer, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining server and desktop infrastructure to ensure the access of mission-critical applications in the company.

• Configure and manage servers of different operation systems, such as Windows or Linux, including installing, fixing issues, and upgrading while implementing enhancements to improve performance and reliability.
• Monitor server on a daily basis and troubleshoot issues at both server and PC levels.
• Manage backup and recovery of server data.
• Develop and maintain documentation for server systems and processes.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of server systems with other systems and applications.

We are looking for a Server Engineer who can implement warehouse efficiencies and cost reduction programs to assist the company in making better merchandise flow decisions by conducting thorough analysis on key areas which are causing product and delivery issues.

As a Server Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining a positive work environment while supporting the company's culture. You will be responsible for fostering a healthy and safe work environment, focusing on the well-being of all associates.

Maintains and strengthens internal, external customer, and supplier relationships. Communicates and works well with all business partners.

Ensures inventory management and merchandise allocation flows product through the warehouse in the most cost-efficient and productive manner.

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• At least 3-year working experience as server engineer.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Linux/Unix-based server systems.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare or Hyper-V.
• Fluent in English.
• Experience as database administrator is a plus.

• Ability to do multi-task and tasks prioritization.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Effectively communicates concepts with various levels of the organization.

Must be able to tolerate moderate to high noise levels in a warehouse environment. Office and outside environmental conditions found in the warehouse, hot in the summer, cold in the winter. Individuals may need to walk for an extensive period of time while working and walking the facilities; to reach over shoulder heights; bend or stoop below the waist; repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement; occasional lifting up to 30 pounds
