Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team at Virginia Family Dentistry.

About the Role

As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, conducting oral health examinations, and educating patients on proper oral hygiene techniques.

Responsibilities
  • Cleaning teeth and removing plaque, tartar, and stains
  • Examining oral health and checking for signs of disease
  • Applying sealants and fluorides to protect teeth
  • Taking and developing x-rays to review for signs of disease
  • Educating patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
  • Documenting patient care and treatment plans
  • Screening patients for dental health and recommending care to improve oral health
Requirements
  • CPR certification (American Heart Association, Basic Life Support for healthcare providers)
  • High degree of skill with hand instrumentation and ultrasonic inserts
  • Experience in digital radiographs and Dentrix Enterprise electronic patient records preferred
  • Scaling and Root planing
  • Certified to administer nitrous oxide and local anesthesia
