Job Title:

Assistant, Associate or Professor in Orthopaedic Surgery

Job Summary:

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Kentucky is seeking a physician faculty member to teach students and residents of the Orthopaedic Primary Care Sports Medicine service, as well as provide care for the patients on this service.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise medical students assigned to the Orthopaedic service
  • Supervise and educate residents in the care of patients with Orthopaedic Primary Care Sports Medicine related diagnosis
  • Establish protocols and critically evaluate outcomes as related to orthopaedic primary care sports medicine patients
  • Serve on applicable University and College of Medicine committees as assigned
Requirements:
  • Medical Degree or Equivalent
  • Demonstrated Ability in Clinical Teaching
  • Completion of residency as well as specialty fellowship training in Ortho-Primary Care Sports Medicine
  • Eligible for license to practice medicine in Kentucky
  • Board Certified or eligible in Ortho-Primary Care Sports Medicine
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated ability in clinical teaching
  • Ability to share responsibility for administration of the Ortho Primary Care Sports Medicine program
