The Department of Developmental Services - Headquarters seeks a skilled Psychiatric Technician to provide behavioral training and psychiatric nursing care to residents. The successful candidate will maintain required credentials and participate in Inter-Disciplinary Team meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general behavioral training and psychiatric nursing care to residents.
  • Maintain credentials in required Psychiatric Technician and trainings.
  • Participate in Inter-Disciplinary Team meetings as a member of the team.

Requirements

  • Valid California Drivers License (CDL) with CDL number, class, expiration date, and endorsements and/or restrictions.
  • Pass a Drug Screening prior to being hired.
  • Clear a Background Investigation prior to being hired.
  • Medical Clearance prior to being hired.
  • Valid Psychiatric Technician License issued by the California Board of Vocational Nurse and Psychiatric Technician Examiners.
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certificate within 12 months of employment.
