Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Ascension. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate radiologic equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to ensure optimal image quality.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to prevent patient exposure to unnecessary radiation.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date.
  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree within 6 months of hire, or Technical degree required within 6 months of hire.
