Job Title: Crane Service Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Crane Service Technician to join our team at American Equipment Holdings. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing quality installations, inspections, fabrication, maintenance, and repairs of hoist and crane equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect overhead industrial cranes and hoists to ensure safety and compliance with manufacturer, OSHA, and ANSI standards
  • Troubleshoot and repair material handling equipment, including electrical components and circuits
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance activities on equipment
  • Support customers by effectively communicating with them and the office to repair equipment as needed
  • Evaluate and recommend required repairs
  • Provide excellent communication with both the office and customers regarding repairs performed, future needs, and equipment ID

Requirements:

  • Good mechanical and electrical skills required
  • Minimum one to five years of work experience with similar types of equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Machining and welding skills are a plus
  • You will need to pass a drug test and periodic drug tests
  • Current driver's license and safe driving record required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • We require you to take a mechanical, electrical, and basic knowledge test

Work Environment Considerations:

  • Work in various environments and conditions depending on the assignment
  • Occasional overtime required
  • Occasional out-of-town work required
  • Work at heights
  • Some heavy lifting required
