**Position Overview**
H&N Wind and Electric, a division of Timken Motor & Crane Services, is currently in search of a **Wind Technician** for our operations. The Wind Technician is responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues while conducting preventative maintenance on wind turbines. This role reports directly to the Field Service Supervisor.

**Key Responsibilities**
  • Conduct routine maintenance and general servicing of wind turbines.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems.
  • Execute diagnostic electrical assessments as needed.
  • Support various operational tasks at the site.
  • Accurately report daily time and travel expenses in a timely manner.
  • Undertake additional skilled and unskilled duties as assigned.

**Minimum Qualifications**
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of hands-on mechanical experience is required; five (5) years is preferred.
  • Preferred experience includes three (3) years as a wind technician.
  • Must be willing and able to travel extensively.
  • A valid Driver's License with a clean driving record is required; CDL is preferred.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT medical examination.
  • Ability to comprehend, execute, and retain various skill-related training on operational and safety protocols.
  • Capable of climbing ladders unassisted and working on towers up to 350 feet high.
  • Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in extreme temperatures for extended periods.
  • Frequently handle, move, and/or lift weights up to 50 lbs.
  • Demonstrate self-initiative with a strong focus on quality and customer service.

**Compensation and Benefits**
The annual compensation for this position is **$32.00 per hour**, commensurate with experience and education, with potential for adjustments based on skills and development. Benefits commence on your first day, including cost-sharing options for Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage. Additional benefits include company-provided STD, LTD, and Basic Life Insurance, with supplemental options available. Participation in a 401(k) and/or Roth 401(k) plan with company matching after one month of employment, along with quarterly Core Defined Contributions.
