Position Summary

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and functionality of our hotel. Your dedication and skills will contribute to maintaining a welcoming and secure environment for both guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional service with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Oversee the comprehensive maintenance of the hotel facilities.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guest rooms, addressing issues related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and more.
  • Uphold brand standards and quality service expectations.
  • Participate as a member of the Emergency Response Team, ready to act in emergencies.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs as directed by your supervisor.
  • Perform tasks including light plumbing, electrical repairs, and door lock maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records in the Daily Activity Maintenance log.
  • Assist guests with inquiries about hotel facilities in a knowledgeable and helpful manner.
  • Follow departmental policies and service standards diligently.
  • Execute preventative maintenance on equipment and guest rooms as assigned.
  • Manage HVAC/R systems maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Utilize the Building Management System to ensure optimal comfort levels for events.
  • Document refrigerant usage in compliance with EPA regulations.
  • Complete work orders related to electrical, mechanical, and door lock repairs.
  • Perform light plumbing tasks, including drain clearing and sink repairs.
  • Maintain kitchen equipment and assist with pool maintenance as required.
  • Engage in painting and drywall repairs throughout the property.
  • Participate in scheduled preventative maintenance projects.
  • Operate a forklift when necessary.
  • Monitor and maintain logs for Central Plant equipment.
  • Assist with various maintenance projects involving furniture and structural repairs.
  • Ensure a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of maintenance supplies.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience in a maintenance role is essential.
  • Proficient in electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance skills.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • EPA certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and basic repair techniques.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
