Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct the work of the Maintenance Department in the plant
  • Plan, layout, and schedule work for functional areas of responsibility and delegate work on a project or individual basis to subordinate staff members

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive preventative and predictive equipment repair program
  • Develop and monitor formal control programs to track and regulate repair costs and spare parts inventories
  • Partner with engineering personnel to design, plan, schedule, and complete capital improvement projects
  • Prepare and maintain department reporting and record-keeping systems
  • Maintain good housekeeping conditions and ensure employee conformance to EHS practices and sanitation rules and regulations
  • Develop, implement, and ensure adherence to SOPs
  • Be responsible for regulatory compliance for the department
  • Develop and maintain qualifications and training standards for all maintenance personnel
  • Ensure maintenance personnel have adequate workspace and tools to perform essential tasks, repairs, and development
  • Interface with regulatory and third-party agencies, including FDA, OSHA, EPA, Fire Department
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets
Critical Requirements:
  • A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field
  • Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)
  • Recent experience in the biopharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred
  • Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in maintenance management
