Job Summary

Fishbeck is seeking a talented and growth-oriented Transportation Engineer to join our Columbus office. This position requires self-motivation, commitment to high-quality work performance, and excellent planning and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work with other staff in a project team environment and provide leadership and mentorship to Fishbeck staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct traffic impact studies, safety studies, signal optimization, and traffic forecasting.
  • Develop MOT plans utilizing traffic data.
  • Assist with traffic signal design and operations.
  • Interact with clients, including ODOT, local agencies, consulting companies, and contractors.
  • Assist in developing project budgets and schedules.
  • Manage tasks and mentor staff.
Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer license.
  • 8-10+ years of experience.
  • Experience with ITE Trip Generation Manual and traffic studies.
  • Preferred knowledge of ODOT traffic standards and guidelines.
  • Experience with Highway Capacity Software, Synchro, Vissim, Rodel, and MicroStation software.
