About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our R&D team at Castle Biosciences Inc. As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing analytic plans for new product development and ongoing evidence development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement analytic plans for new product development and ongoing evidence development
- Work closely with internal R&D colleagues to communicate results and analysis processes
- Collaborate with external clinician collaborators to ensure accurate and efficient communication of results
Requirements
- PhD in life sciences or data science/statistics with 3-4 years of post-doctoral or industry equivalent experience
- Project lead experience with directed analysis of data and/or predictive models
- Strong background in advanced inferential statistics
- Experience with high-throughput gene expression or genomics data and/or spatial-omics data
- Experience with command line operation, machine learning, and/or statistical modeling
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience with data and text processing, including data reshaping
- Experience with data programming and scripting languages (R, Python, Java, SQL)
- Experience with version control and team development (git)
- Strong publication record

Work Environment
