About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our R&D team at Castle Biosciences Inc. As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing analytic plans for new product development and ongoing evidence development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement analytic plans for new product development and ongoing evidence development
  • Work closely with internal R&D colleagues to communicate results and analysis processes
  • Collaborate with external clinician collaborators to ensure accurate and efficient communication of results

Requirements

  • PhD in life sciences or data science/statistics with 3-4 years of post-doctoral or industry equivalent experience
  • Project lead experience with directed analysis of data and/or predictive models
  • Strong background in advanced inferential statistics
  • Experience with high-throughput gene expression or genomics data and/or spatial-omics data
  • Experience with command line operation, machine learning, and/or statistical modeling
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience with data and text processing, including data reshaping
  • Experience with data programming and scripting languages (R, Python, Java, SQL)
  • Experience with version control and team development (git)
  • Strong publication record

Work Environment
