Job Summary

Cedars-Sinai is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Hematology Oncology Medical Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert care to patients with cancer and blood disorders. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with cancer and blood disorders.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including medical history, physical examination, and laboratory results.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab results and imaging studies.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication management and procedural interventions.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, including information about treatment options, side effects, and follow-up care.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and develop treatment plans.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and evidence-based practices in hematology oncology.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a Nurse Practitioner Program approved by the Board of Registered Nursing.
  • MSN Degree Required.
  • Current unrestricted Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner license issued by the State of California.
  • Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Certificate or eligible to obtain.
  • Furnishing number issued by the Board of Registered Nursing (BRN).
  • National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioner.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Minimum one year Nurse Practitioner experience is preferred.
  • For Oncology Practices, two (2) years of Nursing experience required, preferred in Oncology inpatient and/or outpatient setting.
  • Three (3) years' experience as an Advance Practice Nurse preferred.
