Job Title: Construction Inspector

Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Inspector to join our team. As a Construction Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect Construction Work: Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with project specifications, plans, and regulations.
  • Prepare Inspection Reports: Document and report findings, including any deviations or issues, to project managers and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Project Teams: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure project progress.
  • Maintain Quality Control: Ensure that all construction work meets the required quality standards and specifications.
  • Communicate Effectively: Clearly communicate inspection results, findings, and recommendations to project teams and stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; engineering program completion preferred.
  • Experience: Entry-level position; no prior experience required; construction/inspection experience on roadway projects preferred.
  • Certifications: DOT CEI Certifications a plus; may be required to participate in certification and training courses post-hire.
  • Skills: Introductory knowledge of road and bridge construction techniques, design, DOT specifications, and documents; ability to learn and use tools and equipment such as air meter, slump cone, transit, level, and tape measure.
Working Environment:

Primarily outdoor work environment with potential hazards; partly indoor professional office environment; frequent and prolonged use of standard office equipment; occasional lifting or carrying up to 75 pounds.

Compensation:

Salary and eligible variable compensation commensurate with experience; range $38 - $45 hourly; includes comprehensive benefits package.
