Interventional Radiology Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at the Detroit Medical Center. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate professional to contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic interventional exams, verifying patient identity, and reviewing medical records to ensure appropriateness of exams or procedures. Strong communication skills are essential for explaining procedures to patients, including risks, benefits, alternatives, and follow-up instructions.
Responsibilities- Interview patients to obtain, verify, or update medical history and assess risk factors such as medications, pregnancy, and/or psychological indicators.
- Set up equipment and acquire appropriate images as per script, reviewing images and making initial observations.
- Document exceptions from established protocols and communicate data to radiologists, recognizing and responding to medical emergencies as appropriate.
- Provide physician-prescribed post-care instructions to patients and participate in process improvement activities within radiology practice.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiology (RT) or Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI) or Cardiovascular-Interventional (CV).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS) within 6 months of hire for employees working in adult settings.
- One or more years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiology.

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
