Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Teaching Assistant to join our team at Penn State University. The successful candidate will assist in leading laboratory sections, coordinating lab activities, and providing instruction to students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead laboratory sections and coordinate specific lab activities, including orientation, preparation, and cleanup.
  • Prepare demonstration specimens and provide instruction to students in a group or one-on-one setting.
  • Assist with lab exams, grading, and administrative tasks.
  • Participate in pre-lab meetings with other TAs and lab coordinators to review upcoming lab material.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the laboratory coordinator.
Requirements
  • Recent completion of VBSC/BIOL 421 Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy Lab (or equivalent course) with a satisfactory grade.
  • Availability during scheduled laboratory sessions.
