Service Manager

Factory Direct Marine & RV is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead our service team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years management experience in a related field, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Responsibilities- Oversee the service staff and ensure they follow standard operating procedures.
- Train new service employees and help them understand company policies and procedures.
- Create a schedule for service staff to cover hours of operation.
- Manage company vehicle and building maintenance to ensure employee safety.
- Monitor and review employees' work levels and performance, adjusting schedules as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by exceeding customer expectations.
- Handle escalated issues promptly and thoroughly.
- Assist with phone calls and service customer inquiries.
- Oversee appointment scheduling to avoid overbooking.
- Assign work to technicians in a timely manner.
- Open and close work orders with detailed information and keep records up-to-date.
- Follow up with technicians and the Parts Department to ensure warranty parts are tagged and returned, and correct parts are ordered for jobs.
- Ensure employees obtain pre-approval from warranty companies before starting work.
- Follow up with customers to update them on the status of their units, ensuring they are informed every 2-3 days.
- Verify the quality of work on units to ensure a satisfactory job is completed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Upsell services and accessories to customers.
- Ensure profitability in all cost centers associated with service, parts, shop, body shop, and warranty.
- Minimum 2 years management experience in a related field.
- Ability to answer multi-line phones.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
