We are seeking a proactive, collaborative BIM Coordinator with a focus on Building Information Modeling (BIM) to join our Design Technology team and support the design and project delivery processes across all offices.


This role will report to the local Engineering Director and will enhance BIM workflows and digital design methodologies.

Key responsibilities include advancing BIM practices, providing training, and implementing digital design standards.


The BIM team will identify and address challenges through close collaboration with project teams and coordinate project management across multiple design teams involved in model integration.


In collaboration with other Design Technology Managers and BIM specialists, you will facilitate the adoption of BIM technology across all offices.

Monitor and coordinate the effective development of BIM on projects throughout the organization.

Oversee the implementation of supporting software applications for BIM and project delivery.


Stay informed about new and emerging technologies and best practices that enhance productivity, efficiency, and profitability.

Research new tools and software to improve project efficiency.

Foster and maintain a positive customer experience.

Encourage personal professional development and education.

Exhibit a positive team attitude and effective interpersonal skills.

Act as the subject matter expert in digital design delivery software.

Collaborate with BIM specialists across the organization.

Maintain and develop BIM-related content for design practices.

Document Design Technology processes, procedures, and workflows.

Coordinate with the IT department for any software and network support related to BIM and project delivery.

Lead and coordinate BIM training initiatives.

Project Support:
Assist project teams in setting up BIM projects and developing BIM Execution Plans.

Support integrated design teams in creating BIM workflows and strategies for effective collaboration on BIM projects.

Assist project teams with troubleshooting, model management, and design coordination issues.

Facilitate project coordination, model mediation, and sequencing using Revit software and other 2D and 3D applications.

Engage with clients regarding BIM design and delivery standards and outcomes.

Be responsible for automating processes and tasks through scripting and/or integrations with third-party tools.

Prepare workflows that integrate other software with Revit for user productivity, model coordination, analysis, data enrichment, rendering, and animation.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's Degree is preferred.

A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a BIM leadership role on large, complex projects.

Ability to meet deadlines and demonstrate a strong work ethic.

Experience with Revit software, 3D modeling, AutoCAD, Dynamo, BIM 360, and Newforma.

Familiarity with Performance Design applications such as Climate Studio and Ladybug.

Knowledge of Design Visualization applications like Enscape, Vray, and Lumion.

Experience with Computational Design applications such as Dynamo, Grasshopper, and Rhino.

Autodesk Revit Certified Professional with strong technical and communication skills are essential.

Preferred:
Expert-level knowledge of technologies such as Dynamo, Python, Revit Add-in creation, and scripting technologies.

Ability to identify and resolve issues through collaboration with project team members.

Experience in BIM execution planning and providing detailed modeling plans for each design phase.

Experience in project coordination, model mediation, and troubleshooting corrupt models.

Familiarity with model visualization using Revit as a base and integrating with other software for rendering and animation.

General understanding of Healthcare, Science & Technology, and Higher Education buildings.

Strong communication and training skills (both verbal and written); effective teaching and coaching abilities to onboard new team members.

Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI).

Must be a self-starter with a commitment to ongoing education in BIM.

Must maintain an exceptional work ethic and uphold company values, demanding the highest standards of conduct from oneself and others.

This position may require travel approximately 25% of the time.

Base Compensation:
$60,000 - $90,000

(Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skillset, and location).
