Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Pathologist to join our team at the Dayton Area School Consortium. As a Speech and Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in providing educational services to preschool and elementary age students with speech and language disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify students with speech and/or language disabilities and develop individualized programs for improvement and correction.
  • Teach and evaluate students using sound speech and hearing instructional practices.
  • Prepare and implement lesson plans for speech and hearing disabled students.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records as required.
  • Provide guidance and counseling to students and parents to promote their welfare and educational development.
  • Participate in parent-teacher conferences and collaborate with colleagues and staff to support student learning.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular progress reports to parents.
  • Assist in the development of district policies and procedures related to speech and language services.
  • Provide in-service education to staff and parents on speech and hearing topics.
  • Consult with outside agencies and specialists as needed.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology or equivalent.
  • State of Ohio teacher's certification and/or certification in speech and language pathology.
  • One to two years of previous experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff.
  • Knowledge of speech and language development and teaching methodologies.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work in a fast-paced educational environment. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team setting and provide high-quality services to students and families.
