Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Supply Chain Coordinator to join our team at NYU Langone Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Clinical Supply Chain Assistant Manager in the control of inventory supplies for Perioperative Services, Electrophysiology Lab, Cardiac Catheterization Lab, and Radiology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with Nursing Leadership to re-order, re-stock, and reconcile discrepancies of supplies/implants based on established par levels and consignment agreements.
  • Initiate consignment agreements with Sourcing for high-value, high-use items.
  • Create requisitions for implant use in operating/procedural rooms, including Bill Only POs, Consignment Orders, Manual/Rush requisitions, Special Requests Orders, and No Charge POs for trials/consignments.
  • Verify and validate vendor consignment replenishment requests based on on-hand inventory and Operating Room usage.
  • Create Patient Supply Requests for all newly added implants, consigned and non-consigned, in accordance with participating in the Inventory Control Board.
  • Maintain invoices, packing slips, and ensure receipts on all purchase orders associated with consignment products.
  • Establish vendor appointments based on upcoming schedules and verification of attendance in accordance with Nursing within Vendormate.
  • Maintain implant files, updating prices and new items.
  • Perform all inventory functions, including vendor sales rep interactions, quarterly inventory reconciliations, item updates, recalls, backorders, etc.
  • Identify and communicate any backorders, recalls, or discontinued items with Nursing Leadership and CSCM Assistant Manager, and coordinate necessary substitutes.
  • Provide analytical reports to the CSCM Associate Director and Business Manager upon request.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 1 year of relevant experience or a combination of similar education and experience.
  • Knowledge of Clinical Supply/Materials Management general operations.
  • Strong skills related to the management of inventory control, responsible for progressive work experiences in supply distribution.
  • Knowledge of specific health care products.
  • Current membership and active participation in a relevant professional organization.
  • Must possess computer knowledge.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of EPIC/patient scheduling experience.
  • 2-3 years of Operating Room/Supply Chain/Sterile Processing experience.
  • Certification in Materials Resources (CMRP).
  • Experience in computerized inventory control with an emphasis on medical/surgical supplies.
  • Peoplesoft 9 preferred.
