Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Flex Pool team at UNC Lenoir Health Care. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will use the nursing process to provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve excellent clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessing patient health needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and maintaining accurate medical records.
  • Work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members to provide cost-efficient care with excellent clinical outcomes.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing, and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
  • Use clinical computer systems and other technology to support patient care and administrative tasks.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and tasks while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer focus.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina.
  • BCLS certification.
  • Additional certifications required in specialty areas.
  • Good interpersonal skills, strong communication skills, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Work Environment

As a Registered Nurse in our Flex Pool, you will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with exposure to blood-borne pathogens, airborne pathogens, and other infectious diseases. You will also be required to use protective equipment and follow safety protocols to minimize risks.

Physical Requirements

This role requires a range of physical activity, including sitting, standing, walking, and lifting patients. You will also be required to use appropriate Safe-Patient Handling equipment and maintain good visual acuity, auditory, and verbal skills.
