Electrical Maintenance Technician 4: Expert Systems Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician 4 to join our team at M.C. Dean, Inc. As a critical member of our operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within our facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance on equipment, conduct daily corrective work, and respond to emergency situations to ensure peak efficiency.
  • Serve as an expert technical resource, providing guidance to junior technicians and interacting with Onsite Engineering Operations (OEO) and third-party vendors.
  • Analyze systems requirements, research equipment and procedures, and recommend modifications to new and existing systems.
  • Install new units or replacement parts according to specifications and established safety guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and modify malfunctioning electronic units, including printed circuit boards and advanced electrical circuits.
  • Perform maintenance, installations, and service repairs on critical data center systems, industrial electrical equipment, and power distribution components/wiring.
Requirements:
  • At least 9 years of relevant experience and a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, floor plans, construction documents, safety requirements, OEM operating and maintenance instructions, job specifications, and MOPs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of power density and parity with HVAC system capacities.
  • Knowledge of building automation systems and their components.
Physical Abilities:
  • Lifts at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period.
  • Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and all types of ladders.
  • Possess good vision (may be corrected), ability to see in color, and ability to hear and communicate in English.
About the Role:

This is a salaried position, estimated annual salary range is $85,000 - $115,000 based on location and experience.
