As an AI Operations Product Lead, you will co-manage the product roadmap for our AI platforms, ensuring we remain ahead of the curve, broaden our user base, and enhance our offerings to achieve our objectives. You will collaborate closely with a team of highly skilled product managers engaged in various related AI projects. This role demands a high level of interaction with internal stakeholders from both product and engineering teams. It is a dynamic position in a highly collaborative environment, requiring you to balance technical knowledge with business insight.

Your Responsibilities

We seek an experienced professional with a strong technical foundation to design and implement internal products within the MLOps automation domain. As a product manager, you will oversee the infrastructure that caters to the specific needs of developers managing production AI-driven applications at Bloomberg, ensuring our AI solutions are reliable, efficient, and reproducible.

Your Key Duties Include:

  • Collaborating closely with AI product teams to expedite their essential machine learning initiatives, with an initial emphasis on sustaining and scaling machine learning operations throughout the AI lifecycle.
  • Engaging with our machine learning and data science specialists to comprehend their workflows and technical requirements, thereby gaining a thorough understanding of their continuous annotation, training, evaluation, and serving needs.
  • Formulating a roadmap, design patterns, and tools necessary for the operationalization and orchestration of AI solution delivery.
  • Encouraging a collaborative culture with your engineering counterparts.
  • Prioritizing, planning, making informed decisions, posing the right questions, and effectively managing resources.
  • Establishing a long-term technical strategy, roadmap, framework, guidelines, design patterns, and tools for the model development lifecycle.
  • Acting with integrity; being part of a product team and CTO organization that prioritizes long-term optimization.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Product Management role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the ML lifecycle and industry best practices in machine learning operations.
  • In-depth understanding of SDLC best practices, automation, GitOps, and DevOps methodologies.
  • Experience with public cloud services such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, or cloud-based machine learning platforms.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively coordinate with engineers, other product managers, and senior leadership.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A product-focused mindset and a proven track record of influencing business strategy and roadmaps for technical products.
  • Previous experience as a technical product manager or engineering technical lead.
  • Engagement in open source projects or community initiatives.
