This role focuses on logistics transformation within the USAF, leveraging advanced technologies to streamline and enhance processes.

Key Responsibilities

Specific Duties:

  • Conduct logistics, supply chain, and weapon systems analysis to support logistics operations, including mathematical modeling, operations research, and systems analysis.
  • Assess logistics processes and formulate recommendations for system enhancements.
  • Employ analytical models to evaluate operational capabilities, calculate spare parts requirements, and determine stock levels and maintenance needs.
  • Provide sustainment requirements and cost assessments.
  • Support maintenance planning concepts and analyze recommendations for adjustments to optimize maintenance interventions for supportability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Offer suggestions for refining supply support concepts, identifying areas for improvement in manufacturing processes to reduce customer wait times and optimize spare parts availability.
  • Analyze and evaluate government agency logistics and supply chain policies against current performance metrics, recommending policy and process improvements.
  • Support projects aimed at redesigning or enhancing system support through supply chains.
  • Assist in fleet introduction and sustainment readiness reviews, understanding program documentation and planning.
  • Maintain interim operating procedures to support requirements in a client-approved database developed for site activation support.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Department of Defense logistics and/or supply chain management.
  • Familiarity with advanced modeling, networking, scheduling, and inventory optimization systems and techniques to support supply, inventory management, and distribution policy development.
  • Exceptional quantitative and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High energy, enthusiasm, and tact, with the ability to effectively engage with senior executives from government and industry.
  • Capability to foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adaptable to changing work demands and priorities.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
  • Applicants must possess a current U.S. Government SECRET clearance or be eligible for one.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Master's degree in Operations Research, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Current holders of or those eligible for TOP SECRET or TS/SCI clearance are preferred.
