About the Role

As a Charge Nurse at Buckner Retirement Services, you will be responsible for leading nursing personnel in providing quality care to our residents. This includes planning, organizing, and executing elder care policies in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring compliance with state and federal nursing care regulations
  • Planning and leading nursing personnel to provide high-quality care
  • Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to execute elder care policies
  • Conducting regular rounds for assessment, care completion, and evaluations
  • Administering prescribed treatments, including injections and testing
  • Recording vital signs and maintaining accurate documentation
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent
  • A current Texas Registered Nurse License
  • Current CPR Certification
  • A minimum of one year of related experience preferred, or appropriate formal education or Buckner training
  • A working knowledge of basic health care practices and procedures, including infection control
  • A friendly attitude and a servant's heart
