Job Summary:

The County of Santa Clara CA is seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist I to join our team in a hospital setting. As a Speech-Language Pathologist I, you will be responsible for evaluating the therapy needs of patients and designing appropriate treatment plans to meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patient therapy needs and design treatment plans to meet their needs
  • Perform routine patient care for all age groups served
  • Provide clinical guidance to speech-language therapy student interns
  • Assist with orientation and training of new service personnel as needed
  • Prioritize and schedule patient treatment as assigned
  • Assume selected responsibilities of other staff during temporary absences
  • Participate in internal and external professional and educational activities to enhance personal and professional growth

Requirements:

  • Valid license, or eligibility for licensing, to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist from the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board of California
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
  • Minimum of nine months of professional experience as a clinical fellow in Speech-Language Pathology

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a speech-language pathologist in a hospital setting
  • Experience using EPIC/Healthlink programs
