Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Jackson Memorial Perdue Medical Center. As a Clinical Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to achieve exceptional outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and coordinate patient care in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare staff.
  • Utilize the nursing process to apply nursing knowledge and skills.
  • Document all pertinent information regarding nursing care, care plans, and observations.
  • Account for narcotics and emergency equipment on each tour of duty.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of facility infection control procedures.
  • Recognize, question, and report significant patient findings and inconsistencies in medical/nursing orders/treatment regimens.
  • Collaborate and seek corrective action.
  • Select and individualize clinical procedures, protocols, and standards.
  • Complete and submit patient/unit charges.
  • Recognize and prioritize unit needs/problems and implement corrective action independently.
  • Assume charge nurse role when assigned and supervise designated personnel.
  • Apply logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
  • Provide functional direction and assistance to LPNs and CNAs.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance at all times.
  • Follow and perform unit-specific policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Valid Florida RN license.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Associate's degree in Nursing (BSN degree preferred).
  • 1-3 years of related experience.
