Job Summary

We're seeking a Senior Structural Design Specialist to join our expanding structural department. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for preparing structural construction drawings and supporting calculations for new and renovated buildings throughout the U.S. Your expertise will play a crucial role in shaping skylines and contributing to project success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare structural construction drawings and supporting calculations for new and renovated buildings, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Review shop drawings and structural submittals, identifying potential issues and implementing corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with all design disciplines, fostering effective communication and collaboration to deliver high-quality results.
  • Contribute to project success, working under the direction of structural engineers to ensure timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Continually improve company standards, design tools, attitude, and success by suggesting innovative solutions and best practices.
  • Travel may be required for site visits, meetings, and training sessions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
  • Excellent understanding of engineering mechanics and its application in structural design.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit software, with experience in creating detailed designs and specifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Passed the FE Exam with plans to become a licensed Professional Engineer.
  • Masters degree in civil engineering with a structural emphasis, demonstrating advanced knowledge and skills in structural design.
Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, professional development opportunities, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan. This position is eligible for up to a $1000 signing bonus.
