Job DescriptionThe position requires performing deployment-related health assessments and annual mental health assessments that comply with applicable Department of Defense and Air Force policy and guidance.
- Provide a full range of outcome-based nurse practitioner services in accordance with privileges granted by the MTF.
- Direct and teach other staff members on best practices and participate in service training.
- Diagnose and treat patients with common acute conditions, chronic illnesses, or minor trauma within accepted protocols and clinical practice guidelines.
- Promote preventive care and health maintenance through formal and individual education and counseling.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A Master's degree in nursing from an accredited academic program.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or a recognized national nursing certification organization.
- At least one year of experience in the evaluation and treatment of patients who have pain, psychological factors affecting their physical condition, or difficulty coping with medical problems.
- A current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and proficiency in Composite Health Care Systems (CHCS), Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA), Aeromedical Services Information Management System (ASIMS), and Preventive Health Assessment and Individual Medical Readiness (PIMR).
