We are seeking a skilled Travel MRI Technologist to join our team at Mount Sinai Health System - 25-10 30th Ave. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing MRI imaging procedures, operating specialized equipment, and ensuring the highest level of patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform MRI imaging procedures and operate specialized equipment to obtain diagnostic quality studies.
- Assist patients in preparing for MRI procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
- Apply technical judgment to obtain diagnostic quality studies, adhering to written protocols and patient needs.
- Provide patient education on imaging procedures, ensuring patients understand the nature of the procedure and any specific instructions.
- Review patient safety questionnaires and follow MRI safety precautions to ensure a safe scanning environment.
- Assist in administering opaque media and loading power injectors under aseptic technique.
- Position patients and associated coils to obtain optimum study quality.
- Ensure all images are appropriately labeled and transmitted to PACS in a timely fashion.
- Collaborate with physicians to ensure accurate and timely completion of studies.
- Maintain a clean and organized radiology room, adhering to infection control policies and protocols.
- Ability to perform MRI procedures and operate specialized equipment.
- Technical judgment to obtain diagnostic quality studies.
- Patient education skills to inform patients of imaging procedures.
- Adherence to MRI safety precautions and patient safety protocols.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques for administering media.
- Ability to use IDX Radiology Information System effectively.
- Licensure as specified by the job and adherence to relevant public health codes.
