Plumber

We are seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team at Northern Arizona University. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining university plumbing systems to ensure functional campus systems.

• Installs, repairs, and maintains chilled water, steam, heat, water, gas, drainage, sewage, and other plumbing systems.
• Inspects joints, valves, pumps, boilers, heaters, sinks, commodes, tanks, valves, and other plumbing system components to locate malfunctions and repairs or replaces when necessary.
• Receives and responds to plumbing maintenance requests from campus members regarding NAU Facilities.
• Records time and materials for customer billing.

• High school degree.
• 1-2 years of plumbing work experience.
• Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

• Completion of a four-year federally approved technical training program in plumbing.
• Commercial plumbing experience.

This position is an on-site position which requires the incumbent to complete their work primarily at an NAU site, campus, or facility with or without accommodation. Opportunities for remote work are rare. Employees of Facility Services are considered essential staff and must report to work when the university is closed for emergencies.
