Position Overview
The Production Assembler I role is essential in supporting the assembly operations to guarantee the timely delivery of components that align with BEGA's quality and performance benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities
This position encompasses a variety of routine mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly tasks, performed under clear instructions and in compliance with company policies and safety protocols. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting assembly of BEGA fixtures by adhering to specific work instructions.
- Executing electrical tests on products as necessary.
- Following engineering drawings and Bills of Materials accurately.
- Carrying out machine operation tasks, including setup, material handling, and waste disposal.
- Participating in daily performance reviews and stand-up meetings.
- Engaging in situational problem-solving techniques.
- Contributing to a department-wide 5S program to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Ensuring compliance with all safety standards.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:
- Effective communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Basic mathematical skills and the ability to count accurately.
- Capability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
- Familiarity with hand tools and machine operation.
- Good interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or assembly is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic computer skills are advantageous.
Work Environment
This position operates in a fast-paced, frequently changing environment, requiring standing for extended periods and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
Compensation
The hourly wage for this position ranges from $19.88, with the potential to reach $22.26 based on experience and qualifications.
