Staff Guidance Navigation and Controls Specialist

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled Staff Guidance Navigation and Controls Engineer to join our Vehicle Engineering team in Melbourne, Florida.
Job Summary:We are looking for a talented engineer to lead the Guidance, Navigation, and Control system engineering requirement maturation and integration of autopilot and autothrottle capabilities into the Vehicle Management System.
Responsibilities:- Lead the Guidance, Navigation, and Control system engineering requirement maturation
- Lead the integration of autopilot and autothrottle capabilities into the Vehicle Management System
- Lead subsystem level certification activities
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 12 years of relevant experience; OR Master of Science (MS) in a STEM discipline and 10 years of relevant experience
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
- Experience developing and integrating autopilot and autothrottle capabilities into Vehicle Management Systems
- Experience with Flight Management Systems, including RNAV
- Experience using CAMEO to create system requirement models
Northrop Grumman offers a competitive salary range of $142,500 - $213,700, as well as a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
