Job Overview:
General Summary:- Provides comprehensive patient care under the guidance of a licensed physician within UMMS.- Executes professional responsibilities and technical tasks specific to the specialty, including surgical procedures, suturing, and administering injections.- Aids in surgical operations and formulates initial assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts regular visits to pre- and post-operative patients to assess recovery.
- Performs rounds on hospitalized patients and communicates concerns to attending physicians.
- Orders diagnostic tests and treatments, documenting progress in patient records.
- Assists in surgical procedures and engages in preoperative planning.
- Interviews patients, conducts physical assessments, and dispenses medications.
Educational Contributions:- Engages in training programs for medical staff and mentors students.- Enhances understanding of medical conditions and contributes to improved clinical outcomes.
