Job Summary

As a Pediatric Ambulatory LPN at University Hospitals, you will provide safe and efficient age-specific nursing care to patients and their families, utilizing the nursing process to assist them in achieving optimal health status.

Key Responsibilities
  • Function in accordance with the professional standards of the Ohio Board of Nursing.
  • Complete and submit required documentation.
  • Deliver effective relationship-based nursing care.
  • Demonstrate technical skills in care delivery, resulting in safe practice and positive care outcomes.
  • Develop self and contribute to the professional practice of nursing.
  • Display leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited practical nurse program or current enrollment in a nursing program.
  • 2+ years of nursing experience (Level II only).
  • Knowledge of LPN scope of practice according to the Ohio Board of Nursing.
  • Use of a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies.
Additional Requirements for Level II
  • 18 CNEs per year.
  • 3 CNEs in clinical specialty.
  • At least 5 CNEs in leadership.
