Job Title: Clinical Psychiatric Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychiatric Specialist to join our team at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. As a key member of our Department of Psychiatry, you will be responsible for providing exceptional clinical care to patients, teaching and mentoring students, and contributing to the advancement of psychiatric knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality psychiatric care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
  • Teach and mentor students, residents, and other healthcare professionals in psychiatric care and education
  • Contribute to research and academic activities in the Department of Psychiatry
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
Requirements:
  • Board eligible/board certified in Child & Adolescent and Adult Psychiatry by the American Psychiatric Association
  • Current licensure, or eligibility to obtain licensure, to practice medicine in the state of Kentucky
  • Completion of residency in Psychiatry
  • M.D. degree or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in providing psychiatric services to children and adolescents
  • Experience in teaching medical students, residents, and other health professionals
