  • Utilize statistical methods to analyze data, model relationships, and make informed decisions through rigorous analysis.
  • Conduct function-based testing of products, ensuring operational data is accurately recorded and analyzed to meet verification and validation plans.
  • Use modeling and simulation to predict product function capabilities and impact design decisions at various system levels.
  • Design and integrate test systems based on specifications, ensuring lab equipment meets requirements and supports infrastructure.
  • Implement a customer-centric problem-solving process, identifying root causes and developing robust solutions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Build partnerships and work collaboratively to achieve shared objectives and drive organizational success.
  • Develop and deliver communications that address the unique needs of different audiences, enhancing stakeholder engagement.
Requirements:
  • Ability to investigate acoustic-related issues, understand the underlying mechanisms, and recommend and document effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in executing established processes documented in work instructions, essential for Engineering Standard Work and Design Validation Plans.
  • Experience with standardized tools and processes to support Product Design and Validation for high-confidence decision-making.
  • Capability to obtain and integrate input from Product Development, Validation, Design, and Functional Discipline groups for key acoustic performance parameters.
  • Use of formal training in Noise, Acoustics, Vibration, and Digital Signal Processing to make informed design decisions based on analysis and test results.
  • Ownership of problem resolution for components or systems with increasing complexity and technical ambiguity as experience is gained.
  • Ability to contribute effectively toward team goals and exhibit influence within a work group while developing critical competencies.
  • A mix of experience with tools such as MS Office, Matlab, LabVIEW, nCode, Siemens Test.Lab, and Windows operating systems, especially for entry-level or early career professionals.
Education and Qualifications:
  • College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or appropriate STEM field is required.
  • Post-graduate (Master's) degree relevant to this discipline area may be required for select roles.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in experimental acoustics, including setup and execution of acoustic measurements, data acquisition, and analysis.
  • Familiarity with Matlab, Simcenter 3D, VA-One, and SIDLAB.
  • Skills in troubleshooting noise and vibroacoustic problems with mechanical systems as related to product development.

Additional Benefits:

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate's qualifications and experience, where appropriate.

Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
