Job Overview

Long Island Vision Management is seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role as an assistant to our physicians, providing top-notch care to patients and contributing to the company's legacy of eye excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians during minor surgical and laser procedures, including preparing examination rooms and performing basic vision screening examinations.
  • Maintain inventory of ophthalmic supplies and instruments, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Educate patients on medications and pre/post-operative care as directed by the physician, promoting exceptional patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills
  • Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
  • Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year, based on location and experience.
