Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Embedded Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing embedded software for network security appliances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architecture, design, development, integration, and testing of embedded software for network security appliances.
  • Work closely with a team of software engineers to ensure implementation meets product requirements.
  • Participate in design and implementation/code reviews of other team members.
  • Manage time and prioritize tasks to achieve results within cost and schedule constraints.
  • Resolve issues found during engineering test in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years software development experience.
  • Proven experience in large complex software/hardware developments, 4+ years of embedded development.
  • Sound working knowledge of memory management, pthreads, inter-process communication, IPC and synchronization methods.
  • Expert in C and C++.
  • Understanding of network security protocols and algorithms.
  • Understands networking protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, ARP, and ICMP.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active US Security clearance.
  • 2+ years of experience using embedded Linux (kernel and user levels) or like RTOS.
  • Experience with Open Standards such as FACE and OMS.
  • Experience with Xilinx Znnq UltraScale+ MPSocs architecture and software development.
