At Northeast Georgia Health System, we're looking for a skilled Radiology Specialist to join our team as a Mammography Technologist. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a talented group of healthcare professionals and make a real difference in the lives of our patients.

As a Radiology Specialist, you will be responsible for performing general radiographic procedures and mammography exams at a technical level that requires independent judgment and initiative.

Job Responsibilities

  • Operate all mammographic equipment according to specifications and adhere to infection control and safety practices.
  • Produce high-quality mammographic images consistently within established protocols.
  • Maintain processors, diagnose processing problems, and take appropriate action.
  • Assess patients accurately and document their medical history, exam orders, and previous films.
  • Provide education to patients on exam procedures and document their understanding in the patient record.

Requirements

  • Current ARRT certification and licensure
  • High School Diploma or GED and graduation from an accredited ARRT program
  • Minimum one year of experience in mammography

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced mammography certification
  • One year of experience in mammography

Working Conditions

  • Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds
  • Frequent standing, walking, and bending
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, reason, talk, and keyboard

The salary range for this position is $65,000-$85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
