The University of Miami Health System, Miller School of Medicine is seeking a Clinical Pathology Specialist to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the quality of laboratory testing and services
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with laboratory personnel to ensure accurate test results
- Participate in the educational curriculum in clinical pathology for residents, fellows, and medical students
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry standards
Requirements:
- M.D or D.O required
- Board Certified in Clinical Pathology or Board Certified in a Clinical Pathology subspecialty, or a PhD who is fellowship trained and with professional Board or Certification for their subspecialty
- Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Florida or have a Laboratory Directors license in the State of Florida in their subspecialty
- Strong knowledge in general Laboratory Medicine (Clinical Pathology), and in the subspecialty of practice
- Experience with methods, tools and measurements for quality improvement to improve work processes using a team-based model
- Knowledge of regulations and standards of JCAHO, CAP and CLIA
