Transformative Care for Children with Autism

Soar Autism Center is seeking a skilled Child Development Specialist to join our interdisciplinary team in Lakewood, Colorado. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in designing and delivering naturalistic occupational therapy services for young children aged 2-6 years.

About the Role
  • Develop and implement targeted interventions to enhance clients' gross motor, fine motor skills, feeding abilities, and performance in daily activities.
  • Conduct comprehensive multidisciplinary assessments and formulate treatment plans in collaboration with other clinical domains (ABA, speech therapy, psychology), including co-treatments with the speech therapy team.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), guiding them in integrating OT goals into their therapy sessions and supporting their professional development.
  • Regularly monitor client progress, revising treatment plans and objectives as needed, and ensuring effective communication with team members and families.
  • Foster strong partnerships with families, setting collaborative goals, communicating progress, and offering dedicated coaching and support throughout their journey.
Key Qualifications
  • A degree in Occupational Therapy with a focus on pediatrics or a related field.
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience working with children with autism or related developmental disorders.
  • Strong understanding of and commitment to early intervention and integrated care approaches.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a passion for supporting the growth and development of children with autism.
What We Offer
  • An estimated salary range of $65,000-$90,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
