Are you an analytical chemistry expert looking to lead the LCMS Group at RJ Lee Group, Inc.? We are seeking a skilled professional to oversee the operation of our Tandem Mass Spectrometry and High Resolution Mass Spectrometry teams.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new LCMS methods, ensuring data quality, reporting, maintaining instrumentation, and interacting with clients through reports or teleconferences. Sample preparation or analysis may be required on an as-needed basis.

In addition to leading the LCMS Group, the expert will collaborate with multiple teams within the organization, including the Analytical Services Group and the Technical Consulting Group. Project leadership, stewardship, and ownership will be expected.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing new LCMS methods and techniques
  • Data quality review and reporting
  • Maintaining instrumentation and equipment
  • Interacting with clients through reports or teleconferences
  • Sample preparation or analysis (as needed)
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry with a minimum 3 years of experience in LCMS related work
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of analytical methods and troubleshooting processes
  • Expertise in LC/MS/MS systems and operation
  • Experience in the analysis of environmental PFAS samples by LC/MS/MS
  • Experience with troubleshooting and maintaining LC and LC/MS/MS systems (Shimadzu preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience working at a commercial laboratory using different characterization techniques
  • Experience with EPA, OSHA, NIOSH, ASTM, USP/NF, FCC preparation and analysis method and protocols
  • Demonstrated experience in preparation of environmental samples for chemical analysis
  • Experience with extraction of drinking water EPA Method 537.1 and/or EPA Method 533 and Method 1633
  • Experience with DoD Quality Systems Manual (QSM) 5.3 Table B-15 requirements for PFAS extraction and analysis
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off, medical, dental, vision, group life insurance, disability insurance, and a 401(k) savings and investment program.
