Position Overview
This role is pivotal in delivering both professional and supportive nursing care in alignment with physician directives. The responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective treatment for patients under the guidance of a registered nurse.
- Engaging in the planning and assessment of patient care.
- Maintaining a Massachusetts Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification.
Work Schedule
Full-time position with a schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Key Qualifications
- Current LPN license in Massachusetts.
- Basic Life Support Certification.
- Experience may vary based on departmental needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification as a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Instructor.
- Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program.
Core Responsibilities
The following duties outline the essential functions of this role:
- Implementing the nursing care plan, including medication administration and patient procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Providing direct patient care while ensuring the dignity and rights of each patient are upheld.
- Conducting assessments and managing pain effectively, documenting all interventions accurately.
- Communicating any changes in patient conditions promptly to the supervising Registered Nurse.
- Building positive relationships with patients and their families, offering education and support tailored to their needs.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
